RUN, DON'T WALK.... from this shady storefront. "Earl" the proprietor/dinosaur that runs this bogus outfit sold my elderly mom a "Speed Queen" washer (open box / "Floor Model") I live on the other coast and we made a deal over the phone. "Earl" ASSURED me this was a no headache machine and that my elder mom would have no issues. I emphasized just how much I needed to have reliability in this situation as my mom lives all alone. It has seen a repairman THREE times in one year now. I paid 600.00 and change for this non-working metal door stopper "Open box showroom special". He'll go on for miles with his sales pitch on how "He's been in business a million years- and you can trust us". This snake-oil salesman from the stone age DIDN'T initially tell me IT FELL OFF THE BACK OF A TRUCK. I flew to the coast on a visit and witnessed a machine that looked as though it was pushed from someones apartment balcony from a second story building. I was speechless. I figured "Earl" was nice enough to send a technician each and every time the washer was spitting floods of water out on the floor. TURNS OUT MY MOTHER HAD BEEN PAYING THE REPAIRMEN ALL ALONG, and all "Earl" did was dispatch the calls for her. He NEVER even took care of the costs I was supposed to be WARRANTIED for. There is a REASON why this business (Front for some other operation?) has maybe 3-4 machines inside on its sales floor with NO customers around. I paid "Earl" a visit last time I was there ( the SECOND washer issue) and the creepy bookmaking operation environment patina I got from the store started me wondering If I had initially made the right decision to purchase there? He’ll tote that SPEED QUEEN is the foremost Ferrari of washing machines and up-sell you on that premise till the cows come home. DON'T FALL FOR IT. I'll leave you with this- TWO of the three technicians "Earl" sent my mom from HIS recommendation and personal Rolodex, told my mom, "This machine should have NEVER been sold to you" and "Are you for real?" They were literally appalled. The fact that he would snuff someone out of 600.00 for this broken down item is deceiving and underhanded. Call this a 600.00 learning lesson for ordering an appliance over the phone without being in person. Bluff me. take a 'chance' on Earl. Just be sure and remember this entire paragraph when the ringing in your ears won't stop....... BUT IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT ETHICS HERE - "Quimby" appliances has about as much as a staffer in the Clinton administration. GO TO YouTube AND TYPE INTO SEARCH - - QUIMBY APPLIANCES - 513 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028
